October Is Cybersecurity Awareness Month Austin ISD is proud to be a Cybersecurity Awareness Month 2025 Partner! “Since 2004, the President of the United States and Congress have declared October to be Cybersecurity Awareness Month, time dedicated for the public and private sectors to work together to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

May 6 is National Bike to School Day

National Bike to School Day began in 2012, working with the League of American Cyclists to coordinate events for National Bike Month. Students throughout the U.S. may ride their bikes to school May 6. Drivers can help keep everyone safe by watching out for pedestrians or students riding their bicycles, and students should try to always be aware of their surroundings.
