Back to School Bash
On Aug. 12, Austin ISD, in collaboration with the city of Austin, will host its annual Back to School Bash and Safety Fair from 9 a.m.–noon at the Palmer Events Center. Almost 150 community organizations and district departments will provide information and activities to prepare AISD students for a safe and successful school year.

TAKS Retesting Available In October to Out-Of School Students
The Austin Independent School District encourages all students who need to retest, or students who still need to pass a portion of the Exit Level TAKS tests to earn a high school diploma, to register for retesting on October 18-21, 2011. All testing will be held at campuses throughout the school district. Students may also register at their home campus on the day of testing.
