AISD Receives $4.48 Million Grant For On-Campus Mental Health Centers
The Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor has awarded Austin Independent School District a grant of almost $4.5 million. These funds will provide mental health services to elementary children and their families who are victims of crime.AISD is the first school district in Texas to receive funding from this source.

AISD Doubles Capacity to Teach Prekindergarten for 3-Year-Old Students in 2016-17
Next year, Austin ISD will nearly double its capacity to teach prekindergarten for 3-year-olds (Pre-K3) thanks to contributions from local donors.“When students have a strong start, they have a strong future,” Superintendent Paul Cruz said. “We want make sure all students are given a path to success.
