Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee (ESAC) Meeting
The AISD Environmental Stewardship Advisory Committee assists the district in being a recognized example of environmental education, stewardship, and sustainability. The ESAC serves as an advisory body to the Superintendent, who is responsible for administrative decisions and for providing administrative and policy recommendations to the Board for approval.

Advanced Academic Services to Host "Growing Up Gifted in a Global Society" Event for AISD Families
The Department of Advanced Academic Services will host “Growing Up Gifted in a Global Society,” a parent education and Gifted and Talented elementary student enrichment event, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Akins High School. The event will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and is meant to educate parents and students involved in AISD's Gifted and Talented Program.
