New Radio Show Reaches Out to African-American Families
Recently, a new education-focused radio show hit the KAZI airwaves, and its message could be transformative for many of AISD’s African-American families. Breaking Down the Barriers with Ms. Terry Russell is AISD’s latest effort to share district news and engage families in the public education system through a platform that’s both accessible and relevant to its audience.
Austin ISD to Host Census 2020 Ambassador Training
Austin ISD and the National Association of Latino Elected Officials Education Fund will host a Census 2020 Ambassador Training Feb. 15, the second training offered by AISD. AISD Closed July 6-10 for Summer Break
Offices, meal service will resume July 13 Austin ISD will be closed for one week, July 6-10, for its annual summer break. All AISD offices and schools will be closed during this period. All AISD meal sites will also be closed during the weeklong break. The district will resume regular business hours, including summer meal service, Monday, July 13.
