Austin ISD To Provide Free or Reduced-Price Meals
Austin ISD will continue providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the current Texas Department of Agriculture income eligibility guidelines.

AISD Names Nicholas Dellas the 2014 High School Teacher of the Year
Nicholas Dellas is science department manager at LBJ Early College High School. He has a master’s degree in kinesiology with a specialization in exercise physiology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a bachelor’s degree in health science with an emphasis in athletic training from Grand Valley State University.
AISD Names Sharon Roy the 2014 Middle School Teacher of the Year
Sharon Roy, a teacher at Kealing Middle School for 20 years, has taught magnet English, software design, Leadership 101 and pre-AP English. Roy earned her secondary teaching certificate in English and math at the University of Texas in Austin. She also holds a master’s degree in English from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree in English, minoring in math, from UT-Austin.
District of Innovation Campus-Level Schedule Changes Begin Sept. 25
Students at 23 campuses will enjoy an additional day off next week—while faculty and staff expand their professional learning—as District of Innovation schedule changes begin at the campus level.
Board Resolution Asks TEA to Release Funds Meant For Districts
