Board Resolution Asks TEA to Release Funds Meant For Districts
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees passed a resolution tonight requesting that state officials release federal funds designed to support students and districts during the pandemic. At stake for the district is an estimated $241 million in one-time funding, meant to help make districts whole as they’ve navigated the demands and changing needs of students and staff during COVID-19.

Austin School District Announces Change to Employee Leave Policy
School District officials announced today that as a part of the ongoing need to manage the revenue shortfalls that are causing unwanted cuts to the AISD budget, the District has found it necessary to make changes in leave allocations. Departing Austin ISD Chief Financial Officer Eduardo Ramos placed on leave July 31 (En español)
Mr. Ramos submitted his resignation from Austin ISD on Tuesday, July 23. AISD Athletics Promotes Domestic Violence Awareness
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Austin ISD Athletics is doing its part to promote safe and healthy relationships.In partnership with the Travis County Sheriff's Office, Texas Advocacy Project and SAFE, student athletes will be wearing purple ribbons to encourage others to stand up against dating and domestic violence.
