After nearly three years of intensive efforts to transform our special education services, Austin ISD has successfully completed all required actions under our Special Education Agreed Order with the Texas Education Agency and has been formally released from state oversight.

Lions Club Honors Anderson and Bowie Teams, Fans for Sportsmanship
AUSTIN, Texas—Today, the Austin Downtown Founders Lions Club honored two Austin ISD high school athletic teams—along with their coaches, school communities and fans—with Sportsmanship Awards.The Lions Club presented awards to Bowie’s football team, which is coached by Jeff Ables, and Anderson’s girls basketball team, which is coached by Katrina Hall.
