Recommendation on STAAR End-of-Course Exam “15 Percent” Grading Requirement
A student’s score on State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) end-of-course exams taken during spring 2012 would have no bearing on that student’s grades or class rank, according to policy revisions proposed by the AISD administration. The Board of Trustees is scheduled to take action on the proposed revisions at its next regular meeting on Monday, Feb. 27.
Austin High School Earns UIL State Championship, Makes History
Austin, TX—Austin Independent School District's Austin High School made history during the recent University Interscholastic League One-Act Play State competition by securing the state championship for the second year in a row. Austin ISD Main Headquarters On the Move
Move in progress July-September After more than 25 years at 1111 W. Sixth St., Austin ISD is moving its headquarters. The move has begun to 4000 S. Interstate 35, at the northwest corner of I-35 and E. Ben White Boulevard. The move is anticipated to be complete by September.
