Austin ISD Invites Community to Give Input on Developing Facility Master Plan
Austin ISD needs the public's input as it continues to update its Facility Master Plan. During upcoming meetings, AISD will present the Facilities and Bond Planning Advisory Committee's FMP update and receive feedback from the public. Each meeting will focus on a different vertical team. However, anyone can attend any meeting.

MEDIA ADVISORY—Make and Take: Lanier Library to Host Maker Mania Feb. 4
Lanier High School library, along with the Burnet, Cook, McBee, Padron, Walnut Creek, Wooldridge and Wooten libraries, will host Maker Mania, a free event for families to make useful literacy tools from recycled and upcycled materials.
'American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom' Features Cunningham Educator
AISD’s Emily E. Smith is one of 50 teachers featured in Random House and Welcome Books’ “American Teacher: Heroes in the Classroom."The publishers joined forces to interview thousands of educators in every state during the past three years, which culminated in a book about 50 teachers who are changing education.
