AUSTIN, TX­—Allison Elementary School students are receiving a special visit by Jared Fogel, who inspired many Americans to eat healthier after he trimmed his waist nearly in half based on a Subway diet.

What: Jared will visit a physical education class and have lunch with students to participate in a question-and-answer session about health and educational issues

When: 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 9

Where: Allison Elementary School cafeteria, 515 Vargas Road 

Background: Jared became famous after losing more than 245 pounds eating what he calls his "Subway Diet."
