Reminder: AISD Seeks Community Input at Public Hearings for Potential Bond Package in 2013

Share Feedback Tuesday Evening at Reagan High School

Austin, Texas—Members of the public will have an opportunity to address Austin ISD’s Board of Trustees and provide feedback at a public hearing regarding a potential Bond Program in 2013.  The meeting will be followed by a televised special board meeting.

What:  Parents and community members share feedback on a potential Bond Program in 2013.

When:  6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29

Where: Reagan High School, cafeteria, 7104 Berkman Dr.

Background: Bond Program referendum funds only may be used for capital improvements such as new construction, permanent structural improvement or restoration that enhances a property’s value. Each bond referendum has a pre-defined scope and once it has been passed, all work funded with those bond monies, including contingency funds, must align with that scope.

Speakers may sign up the day of the hearing from 7:45 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. at the AISD Carruth Administration Center, 1111 W. 6th St., superintendent's office. Sign up will resume from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Reagan.
