Lanier High School Celebrates the Class of 2014
Nearly 300 Lanier High School Vikings crossed the stage at the Frank Erwin Center today to graduate as part of the class of 2014.
Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz highlighted some of the seniors' achievements, including this year's launch of the Family Writing Project, two six-week courses that brought participants of all ages together on Saturday mornings to share their life stories and write.
Lanier increased to 60 the number of seniors graduating on the Distinguished Achievement Plan—the largest number in school history.
Club achievements included both the baseball and basketball teams advancing to the playoffs, and the UIL Math Team placing first at the district competition.
Lanier valedictorian Antonio Reyes told his fellow graduates, "Our future will be revolutionary. Keep dreaming."
Congratulations to the Lanier High School class of 2014!
