The Austin Independent School District is registering students in its pre-kindergarten program for the 2012-2013 school year. Children are eligible to enroll in the program if they are 4 years old by Sept. 1, 2012 and:

• are educationally disadvantaged; or
• are limited-English proficient; or
• are the child or step child of an active military parent; or
• are homeless; or
• have been in Child Protective Services.

Registration begins August 13 at you neighborhood campus. When registering, parents should bring the child’s official birth certificate, up-to-date immunization records, current proof of income, current proof of residence and a picture ID.
