The Special Education Parent Forum will provide parents, guardians and families of students receiving special education services the opportunity to:

• Learn about the special education goals and priorities for the 2016–17 school year
• Meet the special education administrative team and learn more about AISD special education services for families
• Continue an open dialogue in building strong relationships among parents and the Special Education Department

The program will include:

• A general session with Chief Officer for Teaching and Learning Edmund Oropez and Executive Director of Special Education Jean Bahney, presenting the department's goals and priorities
• “Conversation Circles” moderated by mediation-skilled staff to allow participants to provide input
• Q & A session

This event is free and open to all families. Child care, light refreshments and Spanish interpretation will be provided.
