The Austin Independent School District’s Parent Support Office will be offering a free one-night workshop focused on “Parenting with Love and Logic" Saturday, Feb. 25 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Allan Elementary School, 4900 Gonzales. The event will provide parents with simple and practical techniques to effectively handle challenging child behaviors. The workshop is offered in English and Spanish.
At this workshop, parents will also learn how to build a loving and trusting relationship with their children and how to help reduce stress for both themselves and their child as well as prepare them for the real world. The workshop is for parents with children of any age.
The mini-workshop offers a brief look into the full seven week “Love and Logic” program. Depending on parent interest, the full course may be offered during the spring semester.
