Public Invited to Share as the District Updates the Facility Master Plan

Austin ISD will hold a second round of community meetings in October to solicit input to support the update of the district’s Facility Master Plan. 

The FMP outlines the current status and future use of district facilities. It will guide the development of capital improvements and support planning for any potential bond elections.

The Austin ISD FASST Connect Team, supporting special education families and schools, in collaboration with the Parent Engagement Support Office and the Office of Special Education, hosts monthly educational support sessions for AISD kincare families and foster families raising a child with special needs.

UT/AISD Free Legal Clinic on Supported Decision Making

UT Austin law school students and supervising attorneys will provide FREE legal services through their Include Project for special education families and their transitioning students.

Learn about alternatives to guardianship and supported decision making.

A basic presentation with one-on-one times are available for transitioning students and their parents/guardians.

Student and parent must attend to take part in the one-on-one.

All are welcome to the event. Light dinner will be provided.

District Investigating New Social Media Threats Made by People Dressed as Clowns / AISD está investigando nuevas amenazas hechas a través de las redes sociales

Austin ISD police are investigating social media threats made this weekend by people dressed as clowns against the following schools:

• Austin, Bowie, Eastside Memorial, LASA and McCallum high schools
• LBJ and Reagan Early College high schools
• Kealing, Martin and O. Henry middle schools

Schools across the state and the country have received similar threats.
