We want to share with our community a statement, in its entirety, from Austin ISD School Board President Geronimo Rodriguez regarding the Monday, Feb. 18 School Board Meeting. 

"We take Open Meeting Act requirements very seriously. If mistakes were made regarding when the public was allowed into the meeting, they were unintentional and we apologize. The entire proceeding was audio recorded, including the open session before and the action after, which were also videotaped. The open session portions were properly announced, and no one was aware of anyone requesting entrance being turned away from those portions of the meeting."
