Dear Colleagues,

Veterans Day will be celebrated throughout the nation Monday, November 11, to honor and pay tribute to the brave men and women who selflessly gave of themselves to defend our nation's cherished way of life.

I invite all of you to join me in honoring and thanking our military veterans, especially those who are AISD team members, for their invaluable service to our country, to our families and to our way of life.

Every veteran—past and present—has a story. As we honor and celebrate the contributions of all of our nation’s Veterans, we take special pride in those who work here at AISD—bringing their skills, knowledge, experiences and unwavering commitment to our schools.

We owe all of our veterans a debt of gratitude for their sacrifices. On this Veterans Day, salute the leadership, talent and courage of those in your families, communities and workplaces who have served.

May each of us do all we can to show our appreciation for our veterans, not only on Veterans Day, but every day of the year.
