Austin ISD Board Approves Public Participation Policy Update

The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved a policy update to begin accepting general public comment Board information sessions starting in November 2020. 

The policy was updated at the Oct. 26 Regular Voting Meeting. The November Board Information Session will take place Monday, Nov. 2 due to calendar adjustments made to accommodate the Thanksgiving holiday.

Boo the Flu–Travis ECHS & GPA

Austin ISD, in partnership with Sendero Health Plans, will hold Boo the Flu this Saturday, Oct. 31 from noon to 3 p.m. at Travis Early College High School and the Graduation Preparatory Academy at Travis, 1211 E. Oltorf St. 

Boo the Flu is a drive-thru event where flu shots will be distributed to members of the community who are uninsured or with limited resources, from the safety of their cars. Community resources will be available. People who attend will also have a chance to win prizes that will be raffled off.

The Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved a policy update to begin accepting general public comment Board information sessions starting in November 2020. 

The policy was updated at the Oct. 26 Regular Voting Meeting. General public comment was previously temporarily discontinued due to COVID-19 precautions.
