Thank you for a wonderful semester in our Virtual Learning Program!

Now that we’re heading back into our schools, I want to share some information to make your transition easier.

What should my student do with their Austin ISD device and/or hotspot?

• Students will keep their existing district device (iPads for K-2 and Chromebooks for 3-6) as they transition back to their home campus.

• You can return the hotspots to your home campus if they’re no longer needed at home.

How can my student and I access the BLEND courses from the fall semester?

• Once the fall courses end, students can access the courses and content through the ‘Past Enrollments’ section of their courses list.

• Here’s a guide that shows how to complete this process (Spanish guide).

How can my student and I access Seesaw activities from the fall semester?

• Students and connected families can download an archive of student work (Spanish guide).

• Students will continue to have access to their virtual learning Seesaw class(es) to view all of their previous work.

Can my student access other digital tools during the winter break?

• Access to other digital resources, such as portal, Dreambox, Imagine Learning, etc., will continue through Jan. 1, 2022.

• All of your student’s information from these tools will move with them into their new classes once their transition in our district systems and tools is complete.

What else do I need to know about the transition to my student’s new class?

• You may notice that your student’s enrollment into their in-person class may not be complete until the start of the spring semester.

• During this transition, you may experience a small break in access while our systems and partners are transitioning your student to their new teacher and class.

• Please note that our systems usually take 24-48 hours to process changes once they are entered into Frontline.

Don’t forget to sign up for up to five hours of free 1:1 online tutoring!

Ahora que estamos regresando a nuestras escuelas, quiero compartir cierta información para facilitarles la transición.

¿Qué debe hacer mi niño con su dispositivo o punto de acceso wifi del Austin ISD?

• Los estudiantes conservarán su dispositivo actual del distrito (las iPad para K-2.° y las Chromebook para 3.°-6.°) cuando hagan la transición de regreso a su escuela base.

• Pueden devolver los puntos de acceso wifi a su escuela base si ya no los necesitan en casa.

¿Cómo podemos mi niño y yo accesar los cursos de BLEND del semestre de otoño?

• Una vez que terminen los cursos de otoño, los estudiantes pueden accesar los cursos y el contenido a través de la sección "Past Enrollments (Matrículas pasadas)" en su lista de cursos.

¿Cómo podemos mi niño y yo accesar las actividades de Seesaw del semestre de otoño? 

• Los estudiantes y las familias conectadas pueden descargar un archivo del trabajo estudiantil.

• Los estudiantes seguirán teniendo acceso a sus clases de aprendizaje virtual en Seesaw para ver todo su trabajo previo.

¿Puede mi niño accesar otras herramientas digitales durante las vacaciones de invierno?

• El acceso a otros recursos digitales, como el portal, Dreambox, Imagine Learning, etc., continuará hasta el 1.° de enero de 2022.

• Toda la información de su niño en estas herramientas pasará con él a sus nuevas clases una vez que se complete su transición a los sistemas y herramientas de nuestro distrito.

¿Qué más debo saber sobre la transición a la nueva clase de mi niño?

• Puede que note que la matrícula de su niño en su clase presencial no esté completa hasta el inicio del semestre de primavera.

• Durante esta transición, es posible que experimente una breve interrupción en el acceso mientras nuestros sistemas y socios cambian a su niño a su nuevo maestro y clase.

• Tenga en cuenta que nuestros sistemas normalmente demoran de 24-48 horas en procesar cambios una vez que se han introducido en Frontline.
