Overview

Thomas G. Harris Elementary offers an outstanding elementary education to the Windsor Park and Eastside communities. Our diverse community represent more than 10 countries. Harris proudly includes programming such as Pre-K, Dual Language and the Creative Learning Initiative. Harris partners with The Andy Roddick Foundation to offer high-quality summer and after-school programming and incorporates social and emotional learning initiatives to build persistence and resilience. Harris Elementary invites families to enjoy a wide range of community programs including health and wellness training, family fun nights, and festivals. Communities in Schools provides scholars and their families with counseling, mentoring services, housing, emergency assistance, and referrals to a network of volunteers and community resources. In addition, the Austin Rotary Club offers the Early Acts First Knights character education program.
