Meetings & Feedback

Community Visioning Sessions

Please join Austin ISD for a series of community visioning sessions, designed to gather feedback on the strengths and challenges of each region. Feedback from these meetings will be used to support the work of the School Changes Think Tanks and will ultimately inform the development of regional scenario options.

Meetings will be region-specific but not geographically exclusive and all are welcome. Meetings will be conducted in a come-and-go format and attendees can participate at their own pace.

If you are unable to attend one of the below meetings, you can still share your feedback via this form.

Feedback

Austin ISD opened a community-wide Thought Exchange on April 15 to hear from the community in the reimagine phase of the School Changes 2019 engagement process.

Thought Exchange is an online tool that allows participants to share their ideas in 300 words or fewer and to rate the ideas shared by others in the exchange.

The idea behind the exchange is to allow the public to share their thoughts and ideas even if they were unable to attend one of the School Changes 2019 Community Workshops listed below.

The question posed to those who took part in the exchange were: What are your hopes, concerns and/or questions regarding the Austin ISD School Changes process?

Top-rated thoughts included a need for transparency, culturally responsive teaching and building trust.

View the complete exchange interactions online or download a PDF of the complete feedback received during the workshops. The Thought Exchange will accept feedback until the end of May.
