Garcia Hosts Community Fundraiser to Fund Trip to Nation’s Capital- March 15

This summer, Garcia Middle School will be sending a group of fifteen eighth graders to Washington, D.C., for an educational tour with WorldStrides travel company. WorldStrides offers educators, students, and parents a personalized approach to student travel, with the goal of creating an educational experience for each student that is truly unforgettable. Students can also earn high school credit for attending the tour.

The campus has already raised over $6,000 in a 7 month period to support the trip. Fundraising efforts will continue with a community event featuring a semi-pro basketball game and entertainment from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15 at Garcia Middle School, 7414 Johnny Morris Rd. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Washington, D.C. tour.

The event is open to the public and Garcia families are encouraged to attend. Tickets are $7 for adults, $3 for children 12 and under, and free for children 3 and under. All proceeds benefit the Washington D.C. tour.

Come join us for a great event filled with basketball, fun music, fantastic food and great prizes.
