Bedichek Junior Marine Corps Program Wins 2nd National Championship

For the second consecutive year, the Bedichek Middle School Junior Marine Corps earned top national honors.

The National Middle School Drill Team Championship is the largest annual JROTC competition in the nation and draws thousands of students.

The Bedichek team received top awards in every competitive event, including:

  • 1st place Armed Platoon Regulation
  • 1st place Armed Platoon Exhibition
  • 1st place Armed Color Guard Inspection
  • 1st place Armed Color Guard Regulation
  • 1st place Overall Armed Platoon

 The students are taught by Darrick Norton, director of the Junior Marine Cadet Leadership Program at Bedichek. Norton also led his student to success in 2014 when Bedichek placed first overall.
