News from Dr. Cruz: Happy Holidays

Team AISD,
It’s hard to believe that the fall semester is drawing to a close. Just a few months ago, I outlined our district’s goals for the new school year and talked about why I’m #AISDproud.

As I said then, it is our goal to make sure students come to school every day, that they learn and achieve and that they graduate from high school with the skills they need to be successful in life.

Mid-year is a good time to take stock of our progress, think about where improvements can be made and celebrate successes.

I hope you will be able to relax and recharge during your winter break.

When classes resume on Jan. 5, we can all return to our work with renewed energy and an even stronger commitment to serving the students and families of Austin.

I wish each of you a happy holiday season and a joyful New Year.

Paul Cruz, Ph.D.
Interim Superintendent
