This fall, the Austin ISD community will work together to develop a strategic plan for 2015–20. Strategic planning will help AISD focus its energy, ensure that the district and its community partners are working toward the same goals, and assess and adjust the district’s direction in response to a changing environment.
The plan will help guide the district from where it is now to where we want to be in five years.
The Austin ISD Board of Trustees has developed a framework for a new strategic plan, including the district's vision, mission, core beliefs and strategic goals.
During the next two weeks, all Austin ISD stakeholders are invited to participate in community discussions to expand on this foundation and to identify the priorities of the district.
Below are the dates and times for the community meetings:

- 6-8 p.m. Nov. 6 Ann Richards School Cafeteria, 2206 Prather Lane, 78704
Light refreshments, child care and simultaneous Spanish-language interpretation will be provided. In the coming weeks, the community will have other opportunities for offering input.

Austin ISD busca su opinión sobre el Plan Estratégico 2015–20
Este otoño, la comunidad y el Distrito Escolar Independiente de Austin trabajarán juntos para crear el Plan Estratégico 2015-2020. La planificación estratégica ayudará al distrito a enfocar su energía, asegurar una colaboración con sus socios comunitarios para lograr las mismas metas, así como a evaluar y hacer ajustes para responder a un ambiente cambiante.
El plan guiará al distrito a partir de su estado actual hasta donde quiere estar dentro de cinco años.
La Mesa Directiva del Austin ISD ha elaborado un marco de trabajo para un nuevo plan estratégico, incluyendo visión, misión, valores principales y metas estratégicas del distrito.
Durante las siguientes dos semanas, se invita a la comunidad del distrito invitadas a participar en conversaciones comunitarias para que partiendo de esta base se identifiquen las prioridades del distrito.
