Book Distribution on March 29 to Provide up to 40,000 New and Free Books to AISD Students
Dear Team AISD,
Thank you for your support and help to bring 40,000 new and free books to Austin ISD students! If you signed up with First Book,
a non-profit that provides free and low-cost books to children who come from low income households, you will be able to come to the Allan Facility on Saturday, March 29, to choose great books for the students you work with.
We have books for all ages, from birth to age 18. Books are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so please arrive early.
Saturday, March 29
Austin, Texas 78702

• Please bring your own boxes, baskets, or bags to transport your books. We will not have them available on site.
• To pick up books on behalf of colleagues, you must be able to provide the first and last names of your co-worker, and we will verify on site that they are registered with First Book.
• Everyone receiving books must be signed up with First Book and may take books only to distribute to Title I programs and schools.

The books are available to Austin ISD thanks to the partnership among Education Austin, Austin ISD, the AISD Literacy Work Group, and First Book.
Thank you for all the work you do to support students in your community, and for helping to bring this truckload of 40,000 new books to Austin ISD’s children. See you on Saturday, March 29, at 12 p.m.!
