Setting the Table: Anderson Students Volunteer for Feast of Sharing

This morning, Anderson High School students helped to set the stage—and tables—for the Feast of Sharing by volunteering to decorate the event hall that will welcome Austin families to the holiday dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Palmer Events Center.

The Anderson students volunteered for the Feast of Sharing to support H-E-B's fight against hunger. In addition to a holiday meal, families are invited to enjoy music, arts, crafts and kids activities, including a visit by Santa Claus.

H-E-B hosts the holiday dinner in 23 communities and provides meals and good cheer to 250,000 residents throughout Texas.

Each Feast of Sharing event provides about:

  • 3,000 pounds of sliced turkey
  • 2,500 pounds of cornbread dressing
  • 750 pumpkin pies and
  • 95 gallons of cranberry sauce.

Thanks, Trojans, for sharing your time and energy to provide a warm welcome to community members at the Feast of Sharing.
