The Sunset Valley Elementary Student Council recently received the "Honor Student Council School of Excellence Award" by the National Association of Elementary School Principals Foundation (NAESPF).

The award was received based on the areas of community service, student leadership, citizenship and school spirit.

Sunset Valley Elementary is the only elementary in AISD to receive the award for this school year, and will be recognized in the Leaders 'R' Us handbook and on the TEPSA website. The group will be presented with a trophy during the scheduled fall workshop in Buda, Texas.
