This Saturday, Austin ISD joins Austin Community College and other local organizations to present the seventh annual El Día de La Familia celebration. Sponsored by the Latino/Latin American Studies Center of the Austin Community College Riverside Campus, the celebration aims to share with the community the benefits of higher education. Attendees are invited to tour an open house of the ACC's Riverside campus facilities and will be treated to cultural performances and presentations by a variety of community groups.
Representatives from AISD, as well as other community groups and non profit organizations will be in attendance at the celebration to provide helpful information to familes about the different resources available to help students get to college. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at the ACC Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Blvd.
