On April 3, the Board of Trustees approved the
Facility Master Plan Update
Facility Master Plan
The Austin ISD community is collaborating to update the 2014 Facility Master Plan (FMP) to support the district’s vision to Reinvent the Urban School Experience.
A long-range, comprehensive FMP outlines the current status and future use of district facilities. It will guide the development of future capital improvements and support planning for future bond elections.
Facility and Bond Planning Advisory Committee (FABPAC)
The Facility and Bond Planning Advisory Committee (FABPAC) is a group of residents appointed by the Board of Trustees to make recommendations on long-range facilities planning. The most recent FMP was adopted in 2014; it is a living document that will be reviewed every two years.
Austin ISD educates 84,000 students at 130 campuses, and has more than 12,000 employees. Austin ISD is a champion for every child and offers families a portfolio of rich options and programs to ensure all students have the support they need to achieve their potential and dreams. These options all have different facility needs. Through the FMP process, the community will envision the future of AISD and what facilities will be needed to support that vision.
