LBJ Early College High School will celebrate it's newest facility for medical careers with a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 12 at 10 a.m. at LBJ ECHS.
The Career Launch program is supported by its industry partner Seton Healthcare Family and higher education partner Austin Community College. Special guest speakers include AISD Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz, Dr. Charles Cook, ACC Provost/ Executive Vice President, Dr. Jayme Mathias, AISD School Board members and Seton Healthcare representatives.
The health science program at LBJ ECHS is designed for students to earn a high school diploma, an Associate Degree in Pre-Health Science which will be the gateway to attend a Bachelor’s Degree Program. LBJ is a designated Early College High School which enables students to earn a high school diploma and a tuition-free Associate Degree upon graduation.
Early College High Schools are designed to reduce the barriers for all students, including those who are underrepresented in college, economically disadvantaged or the first in their family to attend college.
