Reagan Early College High School will celebrate the opening of its newest facility for careers in technologys with a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Reagan ECHS.
The Career Launch program is supported by its industry partner Dell Technologies and higher education partner Austin Community College.
Special guest speakers include AISD Superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz, Mike Midgley, ACC Vice President of Instruction and Dell Technology representatives. Career Launch schools expand high school to create a seamless six-year experience that is designed to prepare students to enter the technology field.
The Information Technologies program at Reagan ECHS is designed for students to earn a high school diploma, an Associate Degree of Science in Computer Science which will be the gateway to attend a Bachelor’s Degree Program. Reagan is a designated Early College High School which enables students to earn a high school diploma and a tuition-free Associate Degree upon graduation. Early College High Schools are designed to reduce the barriers for all students, including those who are underrepresented in college, economically disadvantaged or would be the first in their family to attend college.
