Online learning opportunities can be found in the AISD Human Capital Platform (HCP) alongside face to face opportunities and are noted as online or blended learning. These learning opportunities can be accessed easily through most electronic devices connected to the internet.
Employees can expect to find anything from an online course to a mixture of interactive online events and learning groups. Reading the description of a session of interest will identify the type of online learning opportunity being offered. Any session taken automatically becomes part of the employee’s transcript.
How are online learning opportunities developed and what resources are available to developers?
The AISD eLearning Team is led by the Professional Learning Department and brings together AISD representatives from various departments to work on deepening pedagogical knowledge of high quality professional learning practices for the digital age. This team studies, develops, and publishes resources and guidelines for online learning that are shared with district's content providers, content developers, and facilitators. In addition, team members support their departments in the creation of high quality professional learning that models leading practice for seamless technology integration in the classroom.
