Dual Language Parent Survey, Spring 2013

ACCESS Early Childhood Questionnaire Results, 2011-2012
In November 2011, ACCESS staff distributed a questionnaire about early childhood education services participation to all Austin Independent School District’s parents/guardians of kindergarten and prekindergarten students through their classroom teacher. This report was funded through the ACCESS grant as an adhoc request and provides a district summary of the data.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Evaluation 2009-2011
AISD used $16 million to support 25 ARRA IDEA projects to reduce the student academic achievement gap, reduce disproportionality, reduce dropout, improve district processes, improve teacher quality, and evaluate programs.

NCLB Title I Part A Research Brief, 2009-2010
AISD used more than $31 million federal Title I Part A funds in 2009-2010 to support almost 45,000 students at 71 Title I schools. This report summarizes compliance and service data.

Question: Did mother's completion of the ePromotora program influence children's prekindergarten (pre-k) academic achievement, school attendance, and personal development?
This 2008-2009 school year program uses a train-the-trainer model in which Spanish-speaking mothers participate in a 6-week course about teaching early literacy skills and preparing their children for school. Sixty-nine of 107 mothers completed the program in 2008–2009. Students of mothers who completed the program showed academic gains.
