High Dosage Tutoring Program Summary, 2011–2012
AISD’s Office of Turnaround Schools implemented a high-dosage tutoring (HDT) program for selected grade levels and subject areas in the Travis and Eastside Memorial vertical teams. This report summarizes the first year of implementation.

Prekindergarten Program Cost Allocation Analysis
Data in this report suggest that AISD's full-day pre-K program helped reduce the number of students who were retained a grade level or were placed in special education services. The cost per student for full-day pre-K was less than the costs associated with grade-level retention or special education services.

This report provides a description of ELL enrollment in the district, examines ELL progress in English proficiency and academic content areas, and evaluates the dual language program in its first year of district wide implementation.

Prekindergarten Program Participation, 2011-2012
In 2011–2012, AISD prekindergarten enrollment was 5,525, a decrease by less than 2% from the 2010–2011 year. The vast majority of pre-K students were economically disadvantaged (94%) and/or English language learners (58%). Attendance rates for pre-K students increased by 0.6% from the prior year.
NCLB Title I, Part A Program Summary, 2011-2012
AISD used federal Title I A funds to serve more than 51,000 students during 2011-2012. AISD receives Title I funds based on the number of low-income students residing in the district attendance zones.

Prekindergarten Program: Social and Personal Development, 2011-2012
Based on end-of-year report cards, 70% of pre-K students met expectations across all personal development areas in 2011-2012.

Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten Program, 2011-2012
In 2011-2012, AISD provided a tuition-supported pre-K program to 4-year-old students who were not eligible to enroll in the state-mandated program. Overall, pre-K students in the tuition-supported program demonstrated meaningful growth on the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test.

ACCESS Early Childhood Questionnaire Results, 2011-2012
In November 2011, ACCESS staff distributed a questionnaire about early childhood education services participation to all Austin Independent School District’s parents/guardians of kindergarten and prekindergarten students through their classroom teacher. This report was funded through the ACCESS grant as an adhoc request and provides a district summary of the data.

Prekindergarten Program: Student Academic Performance, 2011-2012
The AISD pre-K program advanced nearly one-third of students to above the national average in receptive vocabulary ability in their native language by Spring 2012, with more than 50% of students scoring above the national average on the test.
