AISD Prekindergarten Partnership Program Summary Report, 2019–2020
This report summarizes the first year of the prekindergarten partnership between AISD, United Way for Greater Austin, and participating child development centers that served 417 students. Classrooms and students displayed high quality of instruction and academic performance, and teacher professional development opportunities are summarized.
Prekindergarten for Three-Year-Olds Program Spring 2015 Parent Survey
In Spring 2015, a survey was administered to parents of students enrolled in the prekindergarten for three-year-olds program. This report summarizes responses from parents of these students at Oak Springs and Zavala.

English Learner Summer School Students' Beginning-of-Year (BOY) Performance
This report examines the beginning-of-year (BOY) performance of English learners (ELs) who attended summer school in June 2018. Summer school ELs’ performance on Texas Kindergarten Entry Assessment (TX-KEA) and iStation Indicators of Progress (ISIP) was compared to the performance of similar ELs who did not attend summer school. Statistically significant differences were found between the two groups.

Pre-Kindergarten Teachers' Feedback on the Dual Language Program
This report documents feedback obtained at two meetings with principals and teachers of pre-kindergarten centers offering the dual language (DL) program. Participants were asked to provide input about DL program implementation in the 2015-2016 school year, and to discuss recommendations about proposed changes for the DL program delivery model in the 2016-2017 school year.

Prekindergarten Program Participation, 2011-2012
In 2011–2012, AISD prekindergarten enrollment was 5,525, a decrease by less than 2% from the 2010–2011 year. The vast majority of pre-K students were economically disadvantaged (94%) and/or English language learners (58%). Attendance rates for pre-K students increased by 0.6% from the prior year.

Prekindergarten Evaluation Series 2010-2011: Program Participation
In 2010–2011, AISD prekindergarten enrollment was 5,614, an increase by 3% from the 2009–2010 year. The cost per student for pre‐K was approximately $3,234 for the 2010–2011 year, a $94 perstudent decrease from 2009–2010.

PreKindergarten Program 2013-2014, Academic Performance
This report evaluates students’ achievement in the AISD pre-K program during the 2013–2014 school year, based on Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test-IV (PPVT) and Test de Vocabularío en Imagenes Peabody (TVIP) results.

Tuition-Supported Prekindergarten Program, 2011-2012
In 2011-2012, AISD provided a tuition-supported pre-K program to 4-year-old students who were not eligible to enroll in the state-mandated program. Overall, pre-K students in the tuition-supported program demonstrated meaningful growth on the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test.

Prekindergarten Program: Social and Personal Development, 2011-2012
Based on end-of-year report cards, 70% of pre-K students met expectations across all personal development areas in 2011-2012.

Lucy Read Prekindergarten Demonstration School - First-Year Cohort's 3rd-Grade TAKS Performance, Spring 2011
Students who attended Read pre‐K in 2006-2007 performed better than the state average on their Spring 2011 3rd grade math TAKS and had a greater percentage scoring commended on math TAKS than did other AISD pre-K students or those assumed to qualify for pre‐K.
