Every year, the Austin Independent School District administers the Student Substance Use and Safety Survey to a random, representative sample of middle and high school students. The survey tracks student knowledge, attitudes, and behavior over time.
The purpose of the High School Exit Survey was to monitor high school seniors’ perception of their high school experiences. Results are used to improve the campus environment and program supports for students. Survey results also are used in the monitoring of the district’s strategic plan Goal 3: All students will graduate ready for college, career, and life in a globally competitive economy.
In 2013, the Austin Independent School District began administering a voluntary online exit survey to all professional and administrative employees leaving the district. Responses and respondent characteristics are described.
