The AISD Family Learning Preference survey was available for participation between September 10th and September 25th in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Kinyarwanda, Dari, Swahili, and Pashto. Families responded on behalf of over 54,000 students (N= 54,294) out of a possible 76,397 students for about a 71% response rate for the survey. Families were asked which instructional model they planned for their student to participate in from the options remote off-campus learning and on-campus learning, with a third, hybrid learning option available to students at the high school level.
These reports summarize parents' feedback about their treatment by school staff, information received from school, the school's environment, school-based programs, and the food service. Campus reports were created if there were 10 or more surveys completed.
To understand the most common reasons that students leave the Austin Independent School District (AISD), and identify where students go after they leave, the Department of Research and Evaluation conducted a survey in English and Spanish. For the purpose of the survey, leavers were defined as students who attended AISD during the 2014-2015 school year, but who were not enrolled at AISD in October of 2015.
This report summarizes results of AISD's 2008-2009 parent survey.
