2016 - 2017 AISD Substance Use and Safety Survey
In the spring of 2017, the AISD Department of Research and Evaluation (DRE) administered the Substance Use and Safety Survey (SSUSS) to track middle and high school students’ self-reported knowledge, attitudes, and behavior related to substance use and perceptions of school safety. Results from this survey are used to inform and assist with district- and campus-wide substance use prevention and school safety planning.

Summary of Austin Independent School District Telecommuting Surveys
Telecommuting is currently used in many industries and is celebrated for fostering job satisfaction and increased productivity. However, telecommuting is not widely practiced in K-12 environments. Two departments in AISD implemented pilot telecommuting programs. This report presents survey results from these pilot implementation models and summarizes the lessons learned to better understand the challenges and best practices of implementation.

Afterschool Centers on Education Survey Highlights 2017: Availability of the Afterschool Program Helps to Maintain AISD Enrollment
This report provides findings from various surveys regarding parent, student, and teacher perceptions of Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) programs at AISD campuses. The ACE program was highly rated and thought to help maintain AISD enrollment.

AISD Parent Survey Reports, 2017
The 2017 AISD Parent Survey asked parents about their interactions with school staff, the adequacy of information and opportunities provided by the school, community engagement, and district decision making.

2016-2017 Student Climate Survey
The student climate survey provides the opportunity to monitor students’ opinions regarding topics such as behavioral environment, adult fairness and respect, student academic self-confidence, teacher expectations, student engagement, and social emotional learning (SEL) skills.
