Perceptions of Student Voice at AISD High Schools

AISD high school students were less likely than high school staff to believe their ideas and opinions influenced school policies, according to findings from the 2020-2021 AISD Student Climate Survey and the 2021 AISD Multi-Program Survey. Differences between students' and staff's perceptions were greatest at schools with a higher percentage of white students. In addition, students at smaller high schools were more likely to believe their ideas and opinions mattered when compared to students at larger high schools.

Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning (TELL) AISD Survey: Executive Summary, Spring 2021

The purpose of the TELL AISD survey is to measure aspects of school climate such as general climate, district vision, leadership, teacher data use, instructional practice, professional development opportunities, and student conduct. The survey is administered annually to all campus–based staff employed half-time or more. This report contains highlights regarding the 2020-2021 AISD TELL Survey. Perceptions of Staff's Social and Emotional Learning in AISD

This report explores teachers' and administrators' perceptions of social and emotional learning (SEL) in AISD. Based on analysis of responses to the 2019 Employee Coordinated Survey and the 2018-2019 Teaching, Empowering, Leading, and Learning (TELL) Survey, this report indicates significant positive correlations between staff's SEL knowledge and competencies and numerous aspects of school climate and culture.

Relationship Between Principal Leadership and General Climate: Correlations of TELL AISD Subscales by Level

The TELL AISD Survey consists of several subscales, or constructs, that contain conceptually similar items. This report explores the relationship between the constructs of principal leadership and general climate by level and for the district overall. Statistically significant relationships between principal leadership and general climate were found.

TELL AISD Teaching and Learning Conditions Survey: Results for 2011 through 2016

The Teaching, Empowering, Leading and Learning (TELL) AISD Survey gathers information about school conditions from the educators working in schools. TELL obtains perceptions on a variety of issues related to student achievement and staff retention. In 2016, 5,309 AISD teachers (91%) and 3,092 other campus employees completed the survey.
