Career and Technical Education Program Evaluation Series Issue 2: Postsecondary Outcomes for the Class of 2009
Issue 2 assesses whether significant differences existed in the postsecondary enrollment or employment of 2009 AISD graduates, based on their participation in Career and Technical Education.
This report summarizes 2008-2009 program evaluation results for a state grant to improve students’ grades in science courses, to increase students’ chances of graduating, and to increase 10th- and 11th-grade students’ scores on the state science test.
This report compares characteristics of students who had taken career and technical education (CTE) courses or a sequence of such courses, to those of students who had not. The role of CTE in postsecondary employment and enrollment is also examined.
Austin Partners in Education, a nonprofit organization, helps the community and AISD classrooms work together to ensure academic excellence and personal success for students. Academic outcomes, student engagement, and other variables were examined.
