DESCRIPTION:This summer\, Garcia Middle School will be sending a group of f
	ifteen eighth graders to Washington\, D.C.\, for an educational tour with 
	WorldStrides travel company. WorldStrides offers educators\, students\, an
	d parents a personalized approach to student travel\, with the goal of cre
	ating an educational experience for each student that is truly unforgettab
	le. Students can also earn high school credit for attending the tour.The c
	ampus has already raised over $6\,000 in a 7 month period to support the t
	rip. Fundraising efforts will continue with a community event featuring a 
	semi-pro basketball game and entertainment from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.\,&n
	bsp;Thursday\, March 15 at Garcia Middle School\, 7414 Johnny Morris Rd. A
	ll proceeds from the event will benefit the Washington\, D.C. tour.Th
	e event is open to the public and Garcia families are encouraged to attend
	. Tickets are $7 for adults\, $3 for children 12 and under\, and free for 
	children 3 and under. All proceeds benefit the Washington D.C. tour.Come j
