DESCRIPTION:This meeting is virtual\, for more information please check the
	 meeting agenda. A SHAC is a school board appointed advisory group of indi
	viduals who represent different segments of the community. By law\, a majo
	rity of the members must be persons who are parents of students enrolled i
	n the district and who are not employed by the district. The AISD SHAC is 
	made up of parents\, community members\, students\, and school staff worki
	ng together to improve the health of all students and families through coo
	rdinated school health programs. Texas law requires all school districts t
	o have a SHAC. Learn more about SHAC Bylaws. The AISD School Health Adviso
	ry Council meets on a Wednesday of every month\, with the exception of Jul
	y and August\, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Meetings will be held in a training r
	oom at the new AISD Headquarters located at 4000 S. IH-35 Frontage Road\, 
	78704 unless otherwise noted. Membership to the SHAC is by annual school b
	oard appointment. Meetings are open to all interested persons please see t
