March 19, 2012 Board Dialogue Meeting

Continuation of Review of FY 2013 Preliminary Budget & Tax Rate, Including Possibility of a Tax Ratification Election (TRE)

The Board of Trustees resumed its discussion and review of the district’s preliminary budget, including the timing of and level of support for a possible TRE. The budget review process, which began at the Feb. 27 Regular Board Meeting, will continue through the spring. The public will have more opportunities to learn about and comment on the proposed budget at two community meetings in April. The final Recommended FY 2013 Budget will be presented at the Board Work Session June 11, and is scheduled for Board action June 18.

Initial Planning for School Year 2013-14 Annual Academic Facility Recommendations (AAFRs)

The Trustees discussed planning for the 2013-14 AAFRs, which are a component of the district’s Facilities Master Plan, a long-term framework designed to foster increased academic achievement in suitable facilities.

The Trustees will convene for the next Regular Board Meeting Monday, March 26, 2012.
