Austin ISD Releases Preliminary Draft of Facility Master Plan For Public Comment
AUSTIN, Texas—Austin ISD has released a preliminary draft of the Facility Master Plan for public comment.
The district will use the plan to help support safe, healthy and attractive schools and facilities that promote learning. The Board of Trustees is scheduled to take action of the FMP on June 16.
The FMP does not recommend actions for specific schools. Instead, it offers a road map for moving forward as the district addresses issues such as under-enrollment, overcrowding, health and safety; and environmental sustainability.
The public can comment on the draft in one of three ways:
• Submit comments on the board's website. All feedback is forwarded directly to the trustees;
• Send an email to the board at firstname.lastname@example.org; or
• Provide comments during Citizens Communication at Regular Board Meetings on Monday, May 19, or Monday, June 16.
