AISD Seeks Community Input at Public Hearings For Potential Bond Package in 2013

Austin, Texas—Members of the public will have an opportunity to address Austin ISD’s Board of Trustees and provide feedback at two public hearings regarding a potential Bond Program in 2013.  The meetings will be followed by a televised special board meeting.

When:  6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22

Where: Crockett High School, cafeteria, 5601 Manchaca Road.

Where: Reagan High School, cafeteria, 7104 Berkman Dr.

Background: Bond Program referendum funds only may be used for capital improvements such as new construction, permanent structural improvement or restoration that enhances a property’s value. Each bond referendum has a pre-defined scope and once it has been passed, all work funded with those bond monies, including contingency funds, must align with that scope.
