More Than 500 Trojans Graduate From Anderson High School

Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz, AISD Board of Trustees members and Principal Donna Houser welcomed friends and family of more than 500 seniors to the Frank Erwin Center for the class of 2014's graduation ceremony.

Cruz highlighted some of Anderson High School's achievements, including being recognized by College Board with the 2013 Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts, and being ranked 59th in the state by U.S. News and World Report.

The Key Club held its Third Annual Seniors vs. Staff Basketball Game on April 25, raising more than $1,600 for Eastside Memorial High School's Project Graduation and senior trip.

The National Forensic League named the Speech and Debate Team to the top 10 in the nation for the fifth consecutive year.

And Houser said the class included 17 Eagle Scouts and one senior who earned her Girl Scout Gold Award.
