Austin ISD is excited to once again partner with the SXSWedu Conference & Festival, where education's most energetic and innovative leaders converge each March. This four-day event brings together the growing SXSWedu community to connect, collaborate, create and change how we teach and learn.

This year's conference is March 9–12. Click here for details about the schedule and program.

SXSWedu film premiere

New to this year's conference is a the premiere of AISD: The Pride and Promise of Austin. The film is a collection of stories created by 17 student filmmakers, who tell the story of how they are supported, challenged and encouraged to succeed at AISD.

The films highlight the dedication of the teachers, coaches, families and community members who inspire our students every day. Join us March 12 at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center for the premiere of AISD: The Pride and Promise of Austin. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the film begins at 7 p.m.

Share your experience at SXSWedu

Thousands of AISD students, parents and employees participate in SXSWedu each year, especially during the free Education Expo. This year's expo takes place March 10 and showcases middle and high school programs. More than 200 students will perform on two stages, beginning at 2 p.m. Click here for complete information about AISD student performances.

Everyone is encouraged to tag their tweets with #AISDSXSW and help share their experiences with others. AISD will also be tweeting live from the convention center, with special help from high school students and teachers. We'll gather all the #AISDSXSW tweets here.

Check out what AISD students, parents and employees are saying about their SXSWedu experience.
